In short: Inflatable hot tub hire is the most affordable way to have a hot tub at home for a weekend or a week. Inflatable hot tub hire

An inflatable hot tub has soft, air-filled walls, a pump and heater unit, and a padded insulated cover. It packs down small enough to carry through a house, so it suits gardens with no side access, terraced houses, small courtyards and patios. Most seat four to six adults sitting on the floor of the tub, with air bubbles rather than water jets, and are designed to run from a standard outdoor socket.

We bring the tub, a protective ground sheet or mat, chemicals and test strips, set it up on your chosen spot, fill it and switch the heater on. Because an inflatable heats slowly from cold mains water, it is usually set up on the first day of the hire so it is ready by that evening or the next morning. At the end of the hire we drain it, clean it, pack it down and take it away.

How it works

How inflatable hot tub hire works, step by step
  1. Check the spot

Send a photo of where the tub will go and how far it is from the socket, so we can confirm the surface is level and the plug reaches without a standard extension lead.

  2. Set up and fill

The tub is laid out on a protective mat, inflated, filled from your hose and dosed with the initial treatment.

  3. Heat and use

The heater runs with the cover on until the water reaches temperature, and you test and top up the chemicals daily as shown.

  4. Drain and collect

On the last day we drain the water to a suitable drain or area, clean and dry the tub, and pack everything away.

Inflatable hot tub hire: FAQs

How long does an inflatable hot tub take to heat?

Most inflatable heaters raise the water temperature by roughly 1 to 2°C per hour with the cover on, so heating from cold mains water usually takes around 24 hours, and longer in cold or windy weather. Keeping the cover on and fastened whenever the tub is not in use makes a big difference. Plan for the tub to be ready the day after set-up.

Can an inflatable hot tub go on grass?

It can if the ground is flat and firm, with a protective mat underneath to stop sharp stones or roots damaging the base. The grass under the tub will usually be yellowed or flattened after a few days. A level patio or paved area is better, as uneven ground puts strain on the tub walls and makes it uncomfortable to sit in.

Can we use the bubbles and heater at the same time?

Many inflatable tubs do not run the heater while the bubble jets are on, or the heater will pause, because both draw a lot of power from a single 13 amp socket. Running the bubbles for long periods also cools the water faster. Use the bubbles while you are in the tub, then switch them off so the heater can recover.

How many people fit in an inflatable tub?

Inflatables are sold as 4, 6 or sometimes 8 person tubs, but the rating assumes people sitting close together on the floor. For comfort, most groups find a 6 person tub fits four adults well. If you are planning a party with more guests, take it in turns or consider a hard-shell tub with moulded seating.
